Polar watch

weight: 143

I am so in love with my Polar watch. It was a Christmas gift from my fiance's grandparents and I am amazed at how motivated it keeps me. I used to have the first generation fitbit when they came out, but it was more of a pedometer at the time and it really didn't work for me. The Polar watch has been super easy to use and it gives me a better estimate of how many calories I'm burning hiking or on the treadmill via my heart rate. I use it when I've done T25 and even all that jumping around didn't bother the heart rate band I have to wear with it. The only thing I don't like about it is the watch is a bit clunky, but since I only wear it to work out, I guess it's not a big deal. Plus, it's pink. Anything pink is cute, right?

Back at It. Life.

weight: 143 (ouch)!!

So a few things have happened in the last few months.
I'm heavier. My goal is 135 and well, I'm 143. I actually got up to 149.9 (ahhhh) but have been back on track for about two months now. So, what happened? I went to GA with the BF and well, I just had a really good time. We spent about a month just road tripping to/from Georgia. We stayed in awesome places. WE ate at yummy restaurants. I had a lot of fried food. And when I got back to LA, I was stressed and had to find a place to live (the Boyfriend and I are finally settling down a little). In November, I finally weighed myself and it was 149.9. Geeze. Anyway, I joined the gym and started working out and as of this morning I was 143. I've been working my butt off to get back down to 135. I consider anything over 140 for me to be too much, so right now I'm happy that I'm getting close.

What else has happened.....well....I'm engaged! Woot woot!
haha, even at the grocery store I take random pictures of my ring. I love it! and him. So, this is yet another reason why I want to get down to 135 again. Want to look my absolute best for my wedding. And here is a pic I took today. 141 doesn't look that much different than 135 on me, but I FEEL different:
And finally. I am going to try very hard this year to become a personal trainer. I quit my job back in May of last year, and have been helping my Fiance (still feels weird to call him that) with his business. But, I think my passion is working out and helping others in their weight loss and nutrition goals. In fact, I've been trying to help my fiance lose weight--and so far it's working as he's down from about 208 when we weighed in November to 187. I am so excited for this year!!

Road trip...again

Weight: 137.8

I finally weighed myself a few weeks ago. Not bad. Not great but not bad. Currently, I am in New Orleans. My boyfriend and I left Los Angeles a few days ago. Heading to Georgia (his hometown) for a few weeks and we decided to drive out there (stayed in Arizona, Texas, and now Louisiana). We were only in LA for a few weeks, but we got into hiking and all that cool stuff again. Even my BF got into it. But unfortunately we won't be back in LA until mid October so I won't be able to go to on these awesome hikes until then. Eh. I'm hoping to pick up my running in Georgia since I won't have the gym there. I really want to be at 135 by my boyfriends sister's wedding, which is why we are going to Georgia in the first place. I'm really excited about the wedding, because I get to meet his extended family. But, I'm also a little sad because as much as I love weddings--this one is a reminder that I'm still unmarried :/ lol always the bridesmaid and all that crap. Still, I know I'll have a good time :D

Bye Bye Coco

weight: no scale yet. will know by friday :)

wow, time has really flown! I leave Costa Rica on Thursday of this week. 4 days. I can't believe I was able to be away from my hometown and my family for so long. This trip has been such a beautiful and exhilarating experience. It has really strengthened my independence and also my relationship with my boyfriend, if that makes any sense. Here are some pics of this beautiful place:

Now, regarding my weight loss and exercise. Exercise has been pretty on point. I've been doing T25 and I also walk a lot because we don't have a car. I've also been making healthier food choices, although I haven't been 100%. I think I should
be at about 135-137 when I get back home.

I've also had some discussions with my boyfriend about possibly getting a tummy tuck. It's a big step for me, because I am absolutely terrified of doctors and needles and have fainted at regular doctor appointments. But, this summer I wanted so bad to be able to wear a bikini...and I couldn't. I have a pretty flat tummy, but a tummy tuck would get rid of some of the stretch marks below my belly button and would make me feel way more comfortable. My extra skin isn't excessive but it is there...a part of me feels shallow for wanting to do this since it's cosmetic. But, the bigger part of me feels like I worked my butt off to lose this weight, and why shouldn't I. The main reason why I haven't yet done it is because I want to make sure I've done everything possible (working out) and let my skin adjust. I've been looking at realself.com to get used to these pictures of scars and what all that will look like. Right now, the procedure is only a maybe. I think I am going to keep working out until the end of the year, and maybe in January for the new year (and my 28th BD), I will go and get a consultation. AGHHH! even typing that freaks me out a little.

In other news. I went ziplining. Check that off my list of things to do that I didn't or couldn't do when I was heavier because i was uncomfortable or because of weight restrictions :D Boo Ya!
